Las Vegas, NEVADA (BNO NEWS) – The MGM Grand hotel and casino on the Las Vegas Strip, the second largest hotel in the world, was robbed on Friday morning, officials tell BNO News.
"Units responded to a call at 4.42 a.m. this morning," a spokesman for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department told BNO News. He said a suspect produced a handgun and robbed the casino, after which he fled on foot. He then fled on a motorcycle in an unknown direction.
The spokesman said they do not have a suspect at this time and the investigation continues. There were no injuries in the robbery but the man fled with an "undisclosed amount of money."
A spokeswoman for the MGM Grand also confirmed the casino had been robbed, but referred all inquiries to the Metropolitan Police Department.
